According to the Mayo Clinic, Mild Cognitive Impairment is a state of cognitive decline that is the in-between stage between typical cognition and dementia. Most people with MCI are aware of their memory and mental ability decline. At this stage, family and close friends also tend to notice changes. But the decline isn’t severe enough to prevent the affected person’s carrying out of most of their activities of daily living.
