Today, I am very honored to introduce Michael Minogue. From leading soldiers in combat to pioneering the field of Heart Recovery, Mike has spent his life serving others. A Christian, husband, and father of five, he is now running for Governor of Massachusetts and is committed to serve with integrity and heart.

For nearly 19 years, he served as Chairman, President, and CEO of Abiomed, Inc, revolutionizing the field of heart recovery through the development of Impella®, the world’s smallest heart pumps. He devoted himself and the company to recovering hearts and saving lives, leading in technology and innovation, growing shareholder value, and sustaining a winning culture. This culture and vision led Abiomed to being one of the fastest growing, profitable MedTech companies in history.

He is passionate about supporting education, military veterans and causes for children. As a U.S. military veteran, he co-founded and sat on the Board of MedTechVets, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps military veterans discover career opportunities in MedTech. In 2015, he co-founded the Mike and Renee Minogue Foundation to support faith-based education and pediatric care through partnerships with the Catholic Schools Foundation, WonderFund, Boston Children’s Cardia Surgery department, and multiple others. In Mike’s current run for Governor, he describes his approach as a commitment to faith, family, and service and emphasizes accountability, affordability, opportunity, keeping communities safe and putting people and patients first. Mike’s an outstanding leader and I am very grateful to have him with us here today.
