On Episode 48, we talked about Dr. Bredesen’s Anti-Alzheimer’s Diet, also known as KetoFlex 12/3. You can find an introductory brief overview on this diet on Episode 16, which I’ll be linking in the description box below. In that last episode, we specifically talked about Insulin Resistance and how central it is to cognitive decline.
The first foundational principle of KetoFlex 12/3 refers to Ketosis: the process in which our bodies break down and burn fat for energy, as opposed to carbohydrates.
