On Episodes 48 and 55, we dived into Dr. Bredesen’s Anti-Alzheimer’s Diet, also known as KetoFlex 12/3. You can find an introductory brief overview on this diet on Episode 16, which I’ll be linking in the description box below. In these last episodes, we specifically talked about how central Insulin Resistance is to cognitive decline and how nutritional Ketosis has proven to be a powerful tool in reversing it.

Another excellent way to generate ketones and get into ketosis is: Fasting.

Now, the 12/3 part of the KetoFlex 12/3 dietary program refers to how many hours we when we should be fasting. At least 12 hours between dinner and the next day’s breakfast. And 3 hours between dinner and bedtime.
