Show Notes

Today, I am very honored to introduce Michael Collins, widely known as “The Original SugarFreeMan.” Mike has dedicated more than three decades to understanding sugar addiction and helping people change their relationship with processed food and sugar. He has been completely sugar-free for more than 36 years and comes from a long-term substance-use recovery background. His own experience led him to research the effects of sugar, experiment with different approaches, and eventually develop a passion for helping others achieve lasting freedom from sugar.

Michael is the founder of SugarAddiction.com, has served as Chairman of the Board of the Food Addiction Institute, and is the founder of the Quit Sugar Summit and Metabolic Psychiatry Summit. Through his programs, books, challenges, and online communities, he has worked with thousands of people seeking to reduce or eliminate sugar and has helped over 57,000 people quit sugar. His approach emphasizes not only changing food habits but also understanding cravings, emotional patterns, recovery, social pressures, and the importance of community.

His personal experience also includes raising two children without sugar during their early childhood, an experience that shaped much of his work around children, families, and the cultural normalization of sugar. Mike is a remarkable man and I am very grateful to have him here with us today.
