Today, I am very honored to introduce Judy Benjamin, PhD. Judy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 67, and her mom had passed away from the disease after a 20-year battle. Upon Judy’s diagnosis, she started looking for answers, which led to the serendipitous meeting with Dr. Dale Bredesen, as she became his first patient, “Patient Zero.” She immediately embraced his revolutionary and clinically proven protocol to treat, reverse and prevent cognitive decline and made significant changes to her diet and lifestyle. Inspired by her success, she vowed to pay it forward, becoming a ReCODE-trained health coach with Apollo Health and opening her thriving consulting business, Access Longevity. Wanting to continue spreading the important message of hope to those with cognitive decline, she decided to undertake a 3,000 mile walk across America on April 5th from San Diego, California to St. Augustine, Florida. Throughout this challenging journey at now age 80, her intention is to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease treatment and to promote healthy and productive aging. She was featured in Dr. Bredesen’s first book, The End of Alzheimer’s, and helped write Dr. Bredesen’s third book, The First Survivors of Alzheimer’s. She was also featured in the recent documentary, Memories for Life. She has been a hero to me, my dad and my family and I am very grateful for her to be with us today.
