The disease typically progresses through stages. And even though there are different scales out there of how to measure these stages, 7 stages, 5 stages, 4 stages – the most simple way way to frame the progression of the disease is through three primary stages: early, moderate and advanced. Now, each person may experience symptoms and progression through stages a little bit differently but these are some of the common presentations through each stage, according to the Alzheimer’s Association.
